Problem Note 67372: The SAS® Metadata Server might stop responding when clients that are configured with a different language connect to it

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The SAS® 9.4M6 (TS1M6) Metadata Server process might terminate unexpectedly when clients such as SAS® Enterprise Guide® or SAS® Integration Technologies connect to the server. This issue occurs when the clients are configured for a different language. When you encounter this issue, the metadata server process stops and no further log messages associated with the failure are logged. In a UNIX environment, the metadata server console log contains messages similar to the following:

ERROR: Mis-matched TK message file version!
ERROR: The system has encountered an unhandled Exception.

A workaround for this issue is to complete these steps:

  1. Stop all SAS processes.
  2. Move the SASHome/SASFoundation/9.4/sasexe/t0a6zt.so file to a back-up location and ensure that no file with this file name exists in this directory.
  3. Restart all SAS processes.
